Gill & I met as 18year old students & became good friends. A particularly vivid memory is of our Club Med. holidays when we were 20/21- travelling to S.Italy & Corfu by train, sleeping in a straw hut on camp beds, in an olive grove, with terrific watersports, French food, & dancing under the stars. It was pretty adventurous at the time, & great fun  lots of laughter [which surprised the French!]
  
Later memories include lovely Sunday lunches in Shenley Hill, & meeting up occasionally in London,  & pub lunches locally after she moved.
 
I admired Gill so much for her bravery & spirit during all her health problems . She never complained, but got on with it.
 
My abiding memory of Gill will be her wonderful sense of humour & fun, & her infectious giggle. May you rest in peace dear Gill.
